Staff reporter, Chittagong; 28 March 2018: A leading jewelry shop has been vandalized and looted by a group of miscreants on 31st
August a 9.00 pm. The miscreants equipped with firearms attacked the manager
and fired at him. He succumbed to his injuries and died on the way to
Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The miscreants looted gold and other
valuable metals worth Taka 50 lakhs. An FIR case has been filed. Police say
they are looking into the matter. None has been arrested so far. The proprietor
of the shop reports that it might be a revenge plan on a previous enmity of
land disputes.
